The fundamental solutions of the project are based on the five main postulates, four of which determine the spatial structure of the complex, and one – the functional and technological logic. They structure and provisions are determined by the principal idea of the project – „green islands“. The identified elements of Antakalnis natural frames – small array of trees, create the easily identified spaces, the continuance of which in the urban fabric reflects the provisions of dissolving in the environment, adaptation and masking of the first postulate (1).
The second postulate (2) – the creation of the human scale complex, retaining the provision of creating the anthropogenic environment in the natural context having the specific limit of height. The main accent must become the complexity, quality and location.
The third postulate (3) – elimination of cars from the habitable environment. This is mainly achieved by designing the transit street underground (using the relief of the area), turning the car storage into the green hills, providing them an access in the outer perimeter of the habitable complex.
The fourth postulate (4) – the combination of different communication systems, the territory integration into the higher (common city) range communication systems (the cognitive footpaths, common bicycle trails), allowing to connect the larger natural elements, urban centers.
The fifth postulate (5) – ecosophy. The creation of environmentally friendly architectural – technological solution, including the number of ecological conceptions (space orientation, structure of facades and materials, the utilization of solar energy, air traffic management, geothermal energy, the maximum green space, elimination of transport etc.)
