The reconstruction of rest home near the Bebrusų lake in Molėtai. The picturesque natural environment was the main inspiration: the pine forest that surrounds the complex, lake shore, plastic relief. To dissolve in the environment and to organically replenish – that is the main motto of the project. The newly projected volumes seem to retell the array of the climbing pine trunks, their swaying, and the forest opening to the lake. The roof elements are graceful, seem to grow from the land (wall- roof) and have the fluctuating gradient. They are sculpturally stiff and looking toward the lake. The newly projected eight small volumes find their place organically on the plastic relief, protecting the existing trees. With the reverse relief, the volumes are sinking creating the impression of „friendly“scale. The old introverted building is fully opened to the surrounding environment using the glass walls and roof. The heavier and more massive volume building foundation assists to the openwork, light construction superstructure, which seems to prosper among the surrounding graceful pines. Among the new buildings and those that are being reconstructed there are plastic paths, which combine the complex and its surroundings into one integrity. To dissolve in the environment and to organically replenish – that is the main motto of the project.
